This Paris exhibition showcased the photography of Katie McKnoulty, bringing together four years of her work from The Travelling Light, a blog she began during a challenging period that grew into a guiding force throughout her travels. The design, setup and installation were created collaboratively by Katie McKnoulty and Louise McKnoulty, with Louise also crafting the exhibition’s striking window installation—a delicate composition of decomposing flowers symbolising imperfect beauty. Their combined artistic direction, including the use of flowers, crystals and curated spatial elements woven throughout the space, deepened the exhibition’s theme of finding light in both perfect and imperfect moments. The collection of photographs and stories from 16 cultures and 24 homes formed a visual and emotional journey, celebrating the discovery that the light Katie was seeking around the world ultimately existed within her all along.
